01

Carat Weight

Carat measures the physical weight of a diamond. Larger diamonds are exponentially rarer in nature, which makes price scale exponentially rather than linearly with carat weight.

02

Color Grade

Color evaluates the absolute absence of color in a white diamond. Grades range from D (perfectly colorless) to Z (noticeable light yellow or brown).

Clarity Grade

Clarity assesses microscopic internal inclusions and external blemishes. A diamond's purity determines how unobstructed the light path is as it sparkles.

Cut Quality

Cut measures the geometric proportions, symmetry, and alignment. It is the most critical of the 4Cs because it directly unleashes diamond fire, brilliance, and sparkle.

Garnet — The Guardian of Friendship & Protection

Garnets are a diverse group of silicate minerals used since the Bronze Age. The word "garnet" comes from the 14th-century Middle English word gernet, meaning "dark red," which is derived from the Latin granatus, meaning "grain" or "seed" — a clear reference to the pomegranate.

Historically, garnets were believed to protect their wearers from poison, wounds, and bad dreams. Travelers carried them to light the night and guard against accidents.

It is also celebrated as the gemstone of friendship, representing commitment, trust, and mutual understanding.

Carat & Weight Dynamics

Carat is the physical unit of weight for diamonds (1 carat = 200mg). Larger diamonds are exponentially rarer in nature, meaning price increases exponentially rather than linearly with weight. Two diamonds of equal carat weight can have drastically different valuations depending on their color, clarity, and cut proportions.

Pro Buying Tip: Consider looking at 0.90 to 0.95 carat diamonds. They offer a nearly identical face-up appearance to a 1.00 carat stone, but typically yield cost savings of 20-30%.
GIA Color Grade D (Colorless)
D-F (Colorless) G-J K-M N-R S-Z (Tinted)

Color Grading Standards

The GIA color grading scale ranges from D (absolutely colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown tint). Color differences are often microscopic and graded under highly controlled studio lighting. Truly colorless diamonds (D, E, F) reflect light with zero warm tone, creating the highest brilliance.

Pro Buying Tip: If you are planning to set your solitaire in a yellow or rose gold band, you can safely select a G, H, or even I color grade. The warmth of the metal obscures any light tints, saving budget for carat size.
Clarity Level FL/IF (Flawless)
FL/IF VVS VS SI I1 (Included)

Understanding Clarity Grades

Clarity assesses the internal characteristics (inclusions) and surface markings (blemishes) of a stone. The GIA scale goes from FL/IF (Flawless/Internally Flawless) down to VVS, VS, SI, and Included (I). Most inclusions are invisible to the naked eye and only visible under a 10x jeweler's loupe.

Pro Buying Tip: Aim for VS2 or SI1 grades. These stones are usually "eye-clean" (flawless to the naked eye) but cost a fraction of FL/VVS graded stones, maximizing your relative purchasing power.

Cut Quality & Brilliance

Cut quality is the single most critical factor in a diamond's beauty. It refers to how precisely a diamond's facets interact with light. An Excellent/Ideal cut maximizes the reflection of white light (brilliance) and rainbow flashes (fire). Poorly cut stones appear dark and glassy.

Pro Buying Tip: Never compromise on the Cut quality. Even a diamond with D color and Flawless clarity will look dull and lifeless if the cut is not Excellent or Ideal.

Round Brilliant

You’ve always trusted where love leads you. So we do, too.

Today > Someday

Today > Someday

For too long, diamonds have been kept in the dark, waiting for grand gestures, formal invitations, or a distant “someday.”

We believe in the romance of now.

A diamond shouldn’t be treated as a prize locked away for a milestone; it belongs against your skin, sharing the warmth of your daily life. Solitaire Vault was born from a simple devotion: fine jewelry is meant to be truly lived in.

The right piece whispers its elegance as it moves with you, through shared laughter, quiet reflections, and the beautiful, unscripted days that shape your heart's story. Don't save the magic for later. Live in it today.

Homegrown in Mumbai

Homegrown in Mumbai

Our founder, Vaibhav Karnavat, grew up in Mumbai and spent years in the diamond trade, crafting fine jewellery, and watching it wait. Locked away. Reserved. Saved for a someday that rarely arrived.

Then the industry shifted.

Lab-grown diamonds entered the conversation, Identical in every way, but created with intention rather than excavated. A diamond without ethical weight, the label of tradition and the “not yet” price tag.

In 2021, he followed the feeling. House of Quadri was born in Mumbai, where we still design, craft, and retail every piece. A modern house of diamonds, shaped by instinct and craft, made for those who trust their own.
